FAQs
Q - How much does the Aaronic Priesthood Camp cost?
A - The cost of the camp is $175 and should be paid by March 31st, 2026. Submit online using the Local-Youth Camp Registration category (site has a limit of $150 per donation, so break into two payments) or make a check out to your local ward with Aaronic Priesthood Camp written in the Other category.
We do not want to preclude anyone from attending due to cost. If there are concerns about the expense, please reach out to your bishop or a member of the stake presidency.
Q - Can boys bring a phone or electronic devices?
A - Camp is strictly a no phone or electronic device experience. For boys to attend, parents are required in the registration process to attest their camper will leave phones and electronic devices at home. Adult leaders will have phones on hand if the boys need to be in contact with parents. In past camps, some boys claimed they would die without their phones, but we can confirm not a single soul was lost. ;-)
Q - Based on my age, what will my camp experience be like?
A: Here are the general guidelines by age groups:
Turning 12 in 2026: 1st Year - participate in camp as a member of a Company
Turning 13 in 2026: 2nd Year - participate in camp as a member of a Company
Turning 14 in 2026: 3rd Year - participate in camp as a member of a Company
Turning 15 in 2026: 4th Year - participate in camp as a member of a Company (no 4th year hike this summer)

If a 6th year boy would like to attend Senior Super camp and Aaronic Priesthood Camp, they are welcome to do both!
If a boy is headed has already finished High School and wishes to attend, have them contact Spence Darrington to discuss helping out with running camp.
Q - Will I need to find a ride to the camp for my son?
A - The Ensign Ranch is roughly 90 min away. Getting boys to and from the camp will be up to the individual wards to decide how they want to arrange travel.
The address and contact info for the camp is:
Ensign Ranch
3551 Hundley Rd, Cle Elum, WA 98922
Q - What kind of adult supervision is provided during activties?
A - Boys will be divided into Tribes of 8 to 10. Each Tribe will have two 5th or 6th year boys as Tribe Leaders. Additionally, each Tribe will have two adult leaders who will be with them at all times during adventures. All activities will have skilled leaders who ensure safety of all participants.
If you'd like to know more about the quests, contact Spence Darrington.
Q - This is my son's first time away from home and he doesn't know other boys in the stake. Is there a way he can have at least one buddy he knows in his Tribe?
A - Tribes will be a balanced mix of boys of different ages across the stake. We usually have at least two boys from the same ward in every Tribe. When you register, there is a place where you can request a buddy for your camper. Have your camper's buddy request your camper when registering. We'll do our best to accommodate requests wherever possible to make a great camp experience for everyone, but there are no guarantees. If having a specific buddy will make or break camp for your son, please contact Spence Darrington.
Q - My son has food allergies, will he always have something to eat at mealtimes?
A - In addition to our kitchen staff, we are working to call a specialist to make sure boys with allergies have options. Please make sure you note your son's allergies in the registration form.
We'll publish our menu here as soon as it is available so you can plan for any special dietary needs.
Q - Will there be anyone on site to help with medical needs or help boys with administration of medications?
A - We will have a medical specialist on site who will address any medical needs and ensure that all boys take their prescribed medications. Please make sure to note these medication needs in the registration form.
Q - What will the boys be doing?
A - The Old Testament themed camp this year is called Twelve Tribes which is designed as an immersive experience with each day having a theme. There is a lot planned for the week which the boys will discover each day. We're keeping the details under wraps to enhance the fun and anticipation. If you'd like to know more, reach out to Spence Darrington.
All activities will be adult supervised. Where needed, training and certification is required. Participation in all activities is encouraged but optional.
Q - Is there a packing list?
A - You can find the packing list here.
Q - If my son doesn't have a phone at camp how can I contact them if the need arises?
A - Contact Spence Darrington (phone number available in stake directory).
Q - Ensign Ranch is pretty big, how will boys get around to all these activities?
A - There will be LOTS of walking in (Could be up to 8 miles in a day). Please make sure the boys come with good walking shoes and a spill-proof water bottle. A small day pack to carry a few essentials is highly recommended.
