Calling All 4th Year Hikers!
All "4th Year" Young Men (born in 2010) are invited to a 4-day, 3-night hike covering 20-25 miles in the central Cascade Mountains Alpine Lakes Wilderness area. (The exact hike is TBD)​

This is a fantastic opportunity for the young men to connect with nature, connect with other young men across the stake, and grow closer to the Savior.

Registration is due March 31.
Practice Hikes
In preparation for the 4-day hike in July, young men who wish to participate must attend at least one overnight practice hike with a full weighted backpack. There will be no exceptions given for this requirement.

A practice hike is necessary to ensure:

The young men assess their ability to do the main hike

The young men have the right equipment and know how to pack and use it.

The young men know what preference they have for food (Mountain House meals) and how much they may need.

The adult leaders to get to know the young men's personalities and any special needs they may have.
Cost & Payment
Cost should not be a barrier for participation
The cost of the hikes is $175 and should be paid by May 31st, 2025. Make a check out to your local ward with "AP 4th Year Hike" written in the Other category.
